Adding flashtape to the back of the cab above the engine. Flashtape sticks down and helps to deaden the noise of the engine as well as add a bit of extra insulation. Flashtape is heat sealed to the cab with a hairdryer.
Working in English winter means it gets dark annoyingly early, so we brought out a house lamp to finish off the job
Another angle of the paint job, when working on a van dirt can accumulate in the corners show here unpainted, as can moisture and other yukky stuff. Make sure they are cleaned out prior to painting.
Nice paint job! With the anti rust job completed, and grey primer in place, we sprayed the entire interior with red.
Oops! First can of red paint came out a bit er, red! Ran back to Halfords to buy two more cans in a more subtle hue.
Most of the red interior will be hidden but it feels better knowing it’s an accurate red.
